


PAULOWNIA
The Paulownia tree, is also referred to as the Emporer tree. It is the fastest growing tree in the world with a yearly growth rate of up to 1,5 meters per year. It's huge leaves acts as "solar panels".
Paulownia is one of the greatest CO2 capturing plants we know of and its deep roots are perfect for storing the CO2 in the ground.
Paulownia is has a very high strength to weigth ratio. It is very light and therefor useable in many products. It is used in the funiture industry, and also in the ski and snowboarding industry. It is also very useful for plates, boards and poles in the building industry. The wood is very fire resistant and therefore suited for house construction as facade cladding ect.
As an investment it is very attractive due to its very rapid growth compared to other trees like oak and beech.
